Why join the Asia Network to End FGM/C?

    1. Collaboration and knowledge-sharing

We are a collaborative community of organisations and activists that are committed to working together to end FGM/C in Asia. Members are able to share their experiences, knowledge and expertise, and the network provides a supportive platform to take action and amplify the voices and work of our members across the region. We are stronger together and our voices are louder.

    2. A platform to advocate for change

Members of the Asia Network have access to global and regional advocacy opportunities and are part of an active community building national, regional and global partnerships for change. The network provides capacity building opportunities to strengthen members’ advocacy, support national level advocacy, and helps to build stronger global recognition for grassroots activists and organisations working to end FGM/C across the Asia region.

    3. Strengthening evidence and data collection

Data, evidence and research on the practice of FGM/C in Asia is scarce, but all governments have international obligations to report the number of women and girls affected by FGM/C, and to take steps to end the practice. Our members have a global and regional platform to share the latest research and data collection efforts that are already underway, and use the power of our collective voice to call for governments to urgently report national level data on the practice and to support research into context-specific strategies and interventions to end FGM/C in the Asia region.

Membership of the Asia Network to End FGM/C is free. We ask all members to donate their time to engaging and sharing in the network with other members to contribute to a collaborative environment.

Who can become a member?
